Following the recent poaching of a rhino the Rhino Protection Trust were approached by a private game reserve for funding assistance in the darting/collaring of the remaining rhinos on the reserve in order to assist the anti poaching team to locate the rhino. The RPT were delighted to be able to donate R60,000 to pay for the helicopter and vet costs.
A further R50,000 was raised Easter Saturday by Gerrit Kroon of Numbi Ford Motors who held a corporate Rhino Day in support of the RPT.
This will be an ongoing project and all donations via our website will of course be gratefully received.
